AOL is notorius for this.
Many list owners will no longer accept members from aol.com
addresses because it is simply not worth the trouble it causes them.
AOL frequently decides that any list from Yahoo is spam and sends it
to your spam folder. Often AOL will simple stop delivering certain
AOL lists to all or many of their subscribers due to one person on
AOL who simply did not undersand how to unsubscribe from that list.
When these things happen, it takes a concerted effort on the part of
AOL members who are on that list to call AOL tech support and
complain and argue with them to get them to stop banning that
particular list.
This has happened to dozens of our mailing lists including World
Famous Recipes, Wirelesslan, and Famous Quotes.
Call Tech support at AOL to complain and with your specific
examples, they will try to fix it on their end (again.)
