there is a television show called "Starting Over" (sorry i don't remember which network that is, but if you go on yahoo tv, then you can do a search and find out what channel and time it is on in your area)....

anyway, they have a young mother on that show (it's a positive reality based show). i think it would be a great source of inspiraiton for your book.
