RE: [famous_quotes] Choice or Chance
I believe that the person that tsaid or wrote this is wrong on some major
points.
"When we meet the right person to love, when we're at the right place at the
right time, that's chance."
- Wrong. To meet the "right person" at the "right time" is not chance. We
have to make a concious effort to make a choice to be at the "right place"
at the "right time" to run into the "right person". If we did not make that
choice, there would be no "chance" for this "chance happening" to happen.
"When you meet someone you're attracted to, that's not a choice. That's
chance."
- And again, wrong. You may meet someone by chance, but you make the choice
to allow yourself to become attracted to that someone.
"Being caught up in a moment (and there are a lot of couples who get
together because of this) is not a choice. That's also a chance."
- Wrong...again. Allowing yourself to be "caught in the moment" is a
choice. If you are prepared to accept any consequence of being "caught up",
it is just another choice. The second choice is due to your action of your
first choice. (Think cause and effect.)
Just my thoughts on this issue. I believe we have freedom of choice and
that nothing is left to chance.
