This is an outrageous thing for the President to say: "the resurrection
of New York City." The city never died, and never will. Two towers fell,
but the city stood; more than two thousand died, but more than eight
million lived and continue to live with the spirit of freedom, ambition
and achievement that has been our hallmark since the days of the Dutch.
And we will continue to hold that spirit, and our courage, no matter
what bin Laden's terrorists or Bush's fearmongers do in their relentless
efforts to scare us into submission.
