[ world famous recipes ] Mediterranean Burgers / T&T
Mediterranean Burgers - We love these made with either ground lamb,
or ground beef, they're good.
Serves: 4
Yogurt-Cucumber sauce
1 cup plain nonfat yogurt
1 cup diced seeded cucumber
1/3 cup chopped fresh mint leaves
1 tsp each minced garlic and salt
Burgers
1 lb lean ground meat
2 Tbsp plain dry bread crumbs
1 box (10 oz) frozen chopped spinach, thawed and squeezed dry
1 tsp each minced garlic, ground cumin and salt
1/2 cup sliced green onions added to the filling
4 each kaiser rolls or soft, fresh grilled flat bread is also great
to use, split; crisp lettuce leaves, slices ripe tomato and thin
slices red onion
Mix sauce ingredients in a small bowl. Let stand while proceeding.
Mix burger ingredients just until blended. Shape into four 4-in.
patties.
Heat grill, grill pan or broiler. Grill or broil burgers 10 minutes,
turning once, until cooked through and an instant-read thermometer
registers 160°F
Put on Keiser roll and top with sauce. Great.
