Author and Comedian Silver Rose to Present Training Workshop “Change Your Focus, Change Your Life”
The city of Phoenix Parks and Recreation Department invites you to attend "Change Your Focus, Change Your Life," an interactive workshop led by former stand-up comedian and author Silver Rose in conjunction with the Ability Counts Awards Luncheon from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 20. Doors open at 8 a.m.
The Ability Counts Community/Student Awards Program raises community awareness of disability issues and recognizes extraordinary and innovative individuals/organizations that have made an exceptional contribution to the advancement of people with disabilities in Phoenix.
In her morning workshop, Silver Rose will demonstrate how to use the power of focus to consistently produce positive results. Silver Rose says, “You get what you focus on.” As a former comedian, Silver Rose will use humorous stories to illustrate that this is not just a catchy slogan; it’s a way to transform your life. You can, in fact, create your own “luck.” The audience will be able to immediately use the techniques demonstrated for getting more of what they want out of life and improving communication with customers, peers and employees.
This exciting workshop will be held at Phoenix Civic Plaza South, Tucson Rooms 38-39, Third and Jefferson streets. The cost for the workshop is $85 and includes admission to the Ability Counts Awards Luncheon immediately following.
